Rototilts new RC™ System called for a bigger display with an updated, improved graphical user interface for easier operation and more functions.
Martinsson Elektronik was assigned to develop and produce Rototilt´s new 4.3 inch touch display. The touch display shall align with Rototilt’s updated HMI system in the excavator’s cab in regards of self-intuitive user interface and safety regulations.
The objective was clear. The display must meet and exceed the functionality operators expect. Therefore, Rototilt wanted a new display with a fresh design, robust and shock-resistant mechanics. Hardware and software that support a modern user interface, safety-rated features and a display that can handle all environmental conditions in an excavator cab. Product launch was set to Bauma 2022 exhibition in Germany.
Despite challenges, such as pandemic followed by component shortages, this unique display, meeting requirements, was launched in time. The display has been given a user-friendly interface for easy operation, high brightness, crispy image quality and new functions adapted to the excavators and tasks of the future. Autocalibration enables quick and efficient installation. With the display’s built-in lock management buttons, operating SecureLock™ is possible with just two button commands. Favourite functions such as home mode, angle display and the shake function remain, but added even more benefits to enhance the work and improve everyday life – such as remote support with the RC™ Connect app.
The excavator has the power. The operator has the knowledge. With Rototilt´s tools, the operator can work with greater efficiency, agility and precision than ever before. Rototilts new RC™ System empowers the operator to take on more types of assignments with the right setup for a safe and productive working day – and better results.
